Galliard Homes, London’s leading property developer, in partnership with Acorn Property Group, is launching a collection of ‘industrial-luxe’ two-bedroom apartments within its Newham’s Yard development located at 151-157 Tower Bridge Road, following the sales success of the scheme’s one-bedroom apartments.

Newham’s Yard, the new £83 million (GDV) development, is set to become a major mixed-use landmark scheme of three striking buildings up to ten storeys high, comprising residential apartments, restaurants, an independently operated gymnasium, an aparthotel, office and retail space and a new public realm for Tower Bridge Road. The first of the three residential buildings launched at Newham’s Yard is located at 153 Tower Bridge Road, with development partners Galliard and Acorn set to launch the second building in the Summer 2020.

The launch of the two-bedroom apartments at Newham’s Yard comes after the sales success of the one-bedroom apartments at the development’s first launched building, with 62% of apartments in the building successfully sold off-plan to a range of local owner occupiers and young professionals.

Each two-bedroom apartment in the collection will feature a first-class specification, a designer fitted kitchen, one or two bathrooms, two bedrooms and an open plan living and dining area. Select apartments will also feature outside terraces or balconies, ranging from 659 sq. ft. to 936 sq. ft. in size and offering exquisite London views.

The ‘industrial-luxe’ inspired interior design of the two-bedroom apartments will pay homage to the development’s South Bank location, which is dominated by the atmospheric charm and artisan culture of Bermondsey Street. Each apartment will feature gun-metal grey or black door furniture, black skirting, walls in a soft pebble grey emulsion finish, Amtico walnut plank flooring and gun-metal grey or black wall sockets. The tones of these features cement the apartment’s ‘industrial luxe’ ambience.

Continuing the industrial theme, the designer fitted kitchens feature graphite base units and white mountain larch wall units, stone worktops with smoke grey glass splashbacks, LED underlighting to all units, a stainless-steel sink with a black monobloc mixer tap and fully integrated electrical appliances.

The luxurious bathrooms provide large format Valentino Elegance wall and floor tiling to bathrooms, electrical mat underfloor warming, grey timber laminate and mirrored cabinets with feature lighting and white bathroom suite appliances. Bedrooms in the collection feature fully fitted floor to ceiling wardrobes with part mirrored white matt finish doors.

Residents at 153 Tower Bridge Road will be met with an interior designed double height reception foyer, as well as private lifts that serve to each apartment level and will also benefit from concierge service.

With Bermondsey Street sitting adjacent to Newham’s Yard on Tower Bridge Road, residents will be moments away from an array of chic boutiques, al-fresco bars and gastro eateries that nestle alongside quirky curio shops, converted warehouses and the renowned Bermondsey Antiques Market located in Bermondsey Square, which has been named ‘London’s best public space.’ The development will also be a walk away from iconic landmarks including The Shard and various green spaces such as Leathermarket Gardens.

Newham’s Yard’s location will also offer residents fantastic connection links, with several Zone 1 stations in close distance to the development. Residents will be a ten-minute walk from London Bridge station, a six-minute tube journey away from Canary Wharf station, a 15-minute walk away from Borough station and only 28 minutes to London City Airport.
