World Bicycle Day was declared official by the UN this day in 2018 to promote health, wellbeing and the planet. As the number of cyclists continue to grow in numbers, especially since the heatwave we experienced last year during lockdown, attitudes and mind-sets have ‘shifted’ to become more environmentally aware of our planet. There’s also the countless benefits of the exercising.
To celebrate the day in style, we explore some properties ideal for bike enthusiasts in London, starting with 80 Holland Park.
The Q2 cycle highway finishes on Bayswater Road, the road next to the homes at 80 Holland Park, so residents can hop on the 'quietway 2' to reach Paddington, Kensal Rise, and Notting Hill with ease.
Bordering the north side of Holland Park, 80 Holland Park comprises 25 carefully crafted properties, including lateral penthouses and duplex townhouses.
Facilities include 24-hour concierge, bike storage, a private screening room, residents’ lounge and business suite, a 16.8-meter pool and a performance-driven gym designed by Olympic Triathlete, Tim Weeks.
80 Holland Park is the first fully serviced residential development in W11.
Prices start from £2.6million for a two-bed apartment
Next on the list is Regent’s Crescent. A stone's throw from your front door is Regent's Park, which has a lovely cycle route on the outer circle, meaning you can cycle round the park in 2.8miles (approx 11minutes).
Regent’s Crescent is London’s first and only Grade I listed new build development.
There are 67 apartments and nine Garden Villas set behind an elegant façade originally designed by John Nash in 1820.
Residents have access to 9,000 square feet of amenity space as well as the private Park Crescent gardens and the development’s own 1.5-acre landscaped gardens, ideal for stretching the legs after a long Sunday cycle.
Prices start from £2.9million for a two-bed apartment
