Fashionable Future

22.12.21

London’s premier garden square developer, Euroterra Capital, is investing £20 Million into transforming a fashionable corner of Notting Hill; introducing a parade of independent eateries and eight luxury homes – due to launch at the end of 2022. Once complete, the parade will go to market either as a block sale, or as individual apartment units, with the option to remain under Euroterra Capital’s operation.

An artisan pastry shop offering children’s baking workshops, a traditional Greek deli, Byzantium, along with stylish, fashionable restaurants serving Italian and Asian cuisine, will invigorate this historic part of West London. The rare mixed-use block, which covers a proposed 21,500 square feet, is located at Westbourne Park Place (305 – 317 Westbourne Park Road) and is on the doorstep of nearby attractions, including, Portobello Market, Museum of Brands, a variety of London-label boutiques and Hyde Park.

With an intriguing history, Westbourne Park Road is a pocket of Notting Hill, best known for attracting hippies in the 1960s and today appealing to those in the world of fashion and music. The parade sits directly opposite to the renowned blue door from the Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts 1999 hit movie, Notting Hill. The famous door was rumoured to belong to film director Richard Curtis, who according to some reports shrewdly sold his property for considerably more than he bought it for following the release of the film. Today, this corner of town attracts hundreds of tourists each day seeking a day out and the door is so well known it even has its own tourist attraction label on Google maps.

Pantazis Therianos, CEO of Euroterra Capital says, “We have invested in Notting Hill since Euroterra Capital began over a decade ago, and we are excited to be creating a new property and restaurant hub within this prominent corner of London. It is more important than ever to look at ways we can contribute to the neighbourhood, beyond just developing homes, and we hope that the amenities we introduce here will complement the existing boutiques, independent restaurants, and the iconic weekly Portobello Market. We predict, in line with other leading commentators, that Notting Hill will go from strength-to-strength over the next five years, in terms of lifestyle opportunities and investment potential.”

Byzantium, a family business established in 1979, is the first restaurant brand to be confirmed to join the new parade and will offer traditional Greek delicacies and will be available for small private party bookings. Furthermore, a private chef service will also be offered exclusively to residents living within the block above. This is the second Byzantium outlet of its kind to be established in W2, with the original restaurant located in Bayswater. Brand names of the artisan pastry and fashionable Italian and Asian eateries will be confirmed in the new year.

Despite the many improvements being made to this unique Notting Hill corner, the artwork installed on the first floor by Nu-line builders’ merchants, originally to showcase their paints, will remain in pride of place for music fans and visitors alike to enjoy. Currently adorning the windows of the building are various musicians, including, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger, and many more. To add further artistic flare to the parade, contemporary artist Ross Pino will be creating a feature piece along the front of 317 Westbourne Park Road to honour the local area and reflect the vibrancy of the neighbourhood.

Built in the 1860s by London builder, Paul Felthouse, Westbourne Park Place benefits from an unrivalled location, situated just one block from Portobello Road and the neighbourhood’s fashionable shopping street of Westbourne Grove. Numerous tube lines service nearby Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park and Notting Hill Gate stations, and Paddington Station is also a short distance away, due to welcome Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line. Colville Square Gardens, Tavistock Gardens, and Ladbroke Square Gardens are all within a short walk of the development. Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park are also easily accessible, allowing residents to enjoy the best of London’s outside space.
