Delcor – The History

Delcor has been designing and making exquisite made-to-measure sofas and armchairs from its Northumberland workshop since 1967. Every piece is designed in-house by the Delcor team and made by hand to the highest standards, combining traditional techniques and skills with the best of contemporary styles. So confident is Delcor of its promise of quality that each frame is guaranteed for 50 years. Every piece is made to order in eight-ten weeks, delivered and assembled by the Delcor team.

Earlier this year, Delcor introduced its first upholstered bed collection, with each design adhering to the same high standards of design and craftsmanship as that employed for sofas and chairs. Each bed is made from hardwood and the clever construction ensures that it can be delivered and assembled easily at its destination. Customers can choose from divans in any drawer combination, or bedsteads with many options in leg and feet finishes.

In each of Delcor’s four inspirational showrooms, customers meet with knowledgeable and passionate staff to design pieces to their unique specifications and select upholstery from the world’s finest textile houses. In June, Delcor opened its flagship showroom in the heart of London’s Chelsea Design Quarter. Visitors to this new design destination, situated on fashionable King’s Road, will discover Delcor’s signature upholstered furniture designs presented across two floors covering 4,000 square feet.  The friendly and knowledgeable team are on hand seven days a week, to help customers create the perfect sofa, chair or bed. The warm welcome also extends to designers and their clients to meet and discuss their projects in comfort.  With each piece made to order and fabric options from over 40 leading British and international textile brands to choose from, the only limit is the customer’s imagination and the size of their home.
