Chalet Artemis

Chalet Artemis

Chalet Artemis, the most luxurious chalet in St. Anton, is taking on a whole new look for the 2019-20 season. Owned and designed by Andrew Dunn, the entrepreneur who brought luxury ski holidays to the UK, Chalet Artemis’ new design sees it become the jewel in the resort’s crown.

The chalet’s décor aims to perfectly blend comfort with elegance. Having launched Scott Dunn in 1986, Andrew is the expert on elevating the ski holiday experience with personal service and premium accommodation. Built as his personal ski chalet, Chalet Artemis epitomises the ideal chalet experience taking advantage of the knowledge he has from over 30 years in the business.

Guests staying in the chalet will experience the new rustic alpine style adorned with modern touches and iconic features. The bedrooms and top floor living area feature locally sourced reclaimed wooden walls, and throughout the chalet luxurious features include Tyson London lamps, Rolf Benz sofas, hand-woven William Yeoward cushions and a huge archetypal Paul Smith rug add panache.

Andrew said “we were keen to use furniture and lighting that was beautifully crafted and was made with integrity” and so with the help of Petra Kenyon of Batterbury, ex Executive Editor of House & Garden and The World of Interiors, Andrew and his wife Jane commissioned several bespoke pieces. The Tyson London glassblown lamps, the hand forged Tom Faulkner tables, and the cast iron chandelier complete with leaves and birds were all developed specifically with Chalet Artemis in mind.

The elegant, hexagonal chalet has six bedrooms each with an emperor sized Hypnos bed covered in the finest Italian linen from royal warrant holders, Heirlooms and an en-suite bathroom with luxurious towels and bathrobes from the White Company. In addition to the spacious sitting room with its resplendent striped rug and stone-clad log fire, the chalet has its own separate cinema room complete with tiered velvet chairs and retro popcorn machine where guests can have film nights.

Chalet Artemis has its own private wellness area which features an outdoor hot tub, eucalyptus steam room, sauna and an eight-meter indoor private pool. In the massage room, a multitude of treatments can be arranged.

Throughout their stay guests at the chalet will be treated to incredible food from the two chefs Rob and Rosie. Rosie previously worked on superyachts and in high end chalets as well as several Michelin starred restaurants including Noma, and Rob was Executive Chef at Scott Dunn for 10 years. Their modern Alpine fine dining menu is paired with wine from the chalet’s wine wall of over 300 bottles.

Located in the Nasserein area of St. Anton, Chalet Artemis is perfectly positioned for excellent skiing and renowned après. One of the oldest and finest resorts in the Tyrolean Alps it is known for its fantastic snow and huge variety of ski runs – there are over 300km of pistes for visitors to explore alongside brilliant off-piste skiing. Even non-skiers will love the resort, full of shops and with cable car access to the mountains, they can still reach top restaurants Verwallstube and Hospiz Alm and revel in the bars including the world famous Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh. What’s more the personal service means guests can be dropped directly at the lifts and picked up afterwards.

Chalet Artemis is available for the 2019-20 season from €31,500 (approx. £26,500) per week for the full twelve person chalet. This is inclusive of five dinners with wine pairings, daily breakfast, daily afternoon tea, bar drinks, the driver service and exclusive use of the chalet’s facilities. The team can arrange flights, transfers, ski passes, childcare and beauty treatments on request.
