Brighton College has won two national awards in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025: Boarding School of the Year and School of the Year for A-levels. It was also ranked the best independent secondary school in the South East and third nationally.
The guide ranks schools based on A-level and GCSE performance, where Brighton College excelled, with 99.3% of pupils achieving A-B at A-level* and 95% earning grades 9-7 (A-A) at GCSE*.
Principal Richard Cairns attributed the success to a focus on student happiness and celebrating individual saying: "This is a wonderful accolade for Brighton College and also very exciting for our new and emerging schools across the world, as we work with them to replicate the Brighton magic across the globe for the benefit of thousands more children."
Mentioning the school's values, he added: "It has always been obvious to us that pupils perform better if they are happy. And what makes them happiest at school is to be valued and celebrated for who they are.”
