London developer, Amara Property, has told Abode2 that its latest residential development, Little Saddles, has sold half of the available homes just two months since launching onto the market. Ranging in price from £950,000 to £1.35 million, the boutique collection of eight luxury four-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses have sold to young families looking for a spacious home within easy reach of central London.
Following successive lockdowns, there has been an increase in demand for larger homes with expansive gardens. To date, over half of all enquiries have focused on the expansive gardens on offer, as well as the spacious interiors that offer flexibility.
Lee Martin, at imagine land & new homes, the lead sales agents for Little Saddles, commented: “Since we officially launched Little Saddles we have had a lot of interest and enquiries, especially from young families and downsizers. Two of the most popular features of the homes have been the large gardens and the gated community aspect, providing buyers with much sought-after outside space and a sense of privacy and exclusivity. After a fast start, we expect the remaining homes to go quickly.”
Rutu Buddhdev, Managing Director at Amara Property, added: “We couldn’t be happier with the sales progress at Little Saddles. We wanted to design homes with a genuine sense of individuality and character and to receive such a positive response is testament to that. We always thought these homes would attract families looking for a high specification property in a coveted location, so for that to come true is encouraging and we can’t wait to welcome new purchasers to our new community.”
In total, Little Saddles comprises eight bespoke homes, with unique exterior designs combining a mixture of red brick, wood panelling and white stucco cladding.
Complete with manicured front and large private rear gardens, as well as private garages and off-street parking, each home features open-plan kitchen, dining and living spaces and individual garages. Providing a sense of peace and security, Little Saddles is within a private gated community, with password and remote controlled front access gates.
Two interior packages, Classic and Contemporary, are available to suit a buyer’s personal tastes and needs. The Classic palette tastefully combines soft light colours with natural material choices, whilst the Contemporary palette provides bold colours with a clean design that is reflective of the bespoke Amara Property style.
The Classic homes feature Graphite and Cashmere shaker-style Hacker Kitchens with Quarts Calacatta Gold stone worktops, grey parquet herringbone style flooring and dark grey internal doors. The bathrooms include black tap and shower frames with marble effect tiling throughout.
The Contemporary homes are characterised by Black Steel and White Matt modern-style Hacker Kitchens with Nuevo Spring stone worktops and grey mirrored splashbacks, Wenge flooring and medium grey internal doors and stone effect tiled bathrooms.
Built to be as energy efficient and sustainable as possible, each home at Little Saddles features Air Source Heat Pumps, EcoSlide wood grain windows and underfloor heating throughout
Located just off Radlett Lane, Little Saddles is on the outskirts of Shenley, a picturesque village in Hertfordshire, just under an hour from central London. Close to the development are some of the country’s finest Primary and Secondary Schools with the renowned old Manor Lodge and Haberdasher’s Aske’s Boys Schools are located just a stone’s throw away. The remaining homes at Little Saddles range from £950,000 to £1.35 million.
