The stunning surrounds of Chelsea Waterfront located on the banks of the River Thames, played host to Abode2 Luxury Property Magazine’s ‘Networking in the Sky’ Summer Reception on Thursday 26th July.
The spectacular event which took place on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors of Claydon Penthouse – on the market for £14.5 million, was held in partnership with Chelsea Waterfront developer Hutchison Property Group UK Ltd. Along with partner sponsors Tenorite Interiors, Standard Chartered Bank and British Airways, 350 invited guests from the world of property, design and interiors, media, banking and finance got together to enjoy a lively evening of property investment debate, art appreciation and networking.
All of this was done in the beautiful setting overlooking the River Thames, next to Chelsea Waterfront’s West Tower - which is currently under construction - and the former Lots Road Power Station which is being transformed into ‘urban living’ accommodation.
During the event, Leon Kalkwarf from Tenorite gave a fascinating talk about future-proof design, while Grainne Gilmore, Head of UK Residential Research for Knight Frank – the selling agent for the property - gave an in-depth market report on the market in PCL.
A keynote highlight of the evening was an exclusive art and design exhibition, with work showcased from some of the UK’s most talented artists, including Asian-influenced pieces from painter Caroline Hands, beautiful abstract works from businesswoman-turned artist Iti Das and a memorable cityscape lightbox from Yoni Alter – who recently collaborated on a capsule collection with Karl Lagerfeld.
The evening also featured eye-catching work displayed by sculptor Rocco Turino, two of Ed Elliott’s stunning angel pieces – one made from scorched wood - and a bold and beautiful light-up glass piece created specifically for the event by the talented Matthew Lloyd-Winder.
There were also stylish interiors on one of the terraces from Tenorite Interiors, the master suite was sumptuously furnished by the design team at Leberta London, and Katya Maiseyeva from Oriental Rugs of Bath showcased one of her bespoke silk rug creations.
Laura Henderson, Managing Editor of Abode2 commented: “This event was a wonderful opportunity for an evening of networking with aspirational individuals from all sectors of the property market, while sipping champagne and enjoying live jazz in a landmark setting.
“Now is a very interesting time for the property market in the capital. To host our event in what is, the largest residential development on the north-side of the river in 100 years, speaks volumes for London’s position as a leading global investment Mecca.”
