With Cannes famed for hosting many prestigious international events including the Cannes Film Festival and Cannes Lion Festival of Creativity, Villa La Sarriette is the ideal base for those attending. The ancient walled city of Antibes is an essential day trip, with a thriving art and music scene and the famous Picasso museum. It’s always worth pausing at a café for some people watching. You never know who you may see: Beyonce, Kate Moss and the Beckhams are frequent visitors.

Looking further east, an hour’s drive along the coast, you will find the millionaires’ playground of Monaco, home of the Yacht Show, and of course the Grand Prix.

If the Mediterranean Sea is the star of the show, then the mountains offer the perfect foil offering more enchanting discoveries. Nearby, Grasse is the home of the perfume industry and the Musée International de la Parfumerie is a treat for the senses. The ancient village of Valbonne, the medieval hill-top town of St Paul de Vence, and Biot, famous for ceramics, glassblowing and the world-renowned cubist art museum of Fernand Leger are all easily accessible from Villa La Sarriette.
