It has to be described as a huge design success: 13 years after +MODO was shown at kitchen exhibitions all over the world, the demand for this exceptional kitchen is bigger than ever.
Herford, Germany. Architect Jorge Pensi was guided by a radical idea when he decided to open up the space between the worktop and base cabinets to create transparency on the one hand and an area that can be flexibly designed and used. As a result, Pensi managed to give the impact of the 13 cm thick worktop a purpose as a roof over personally arranged accessories later on. Whether it’s vases, art objects, pots or expensive porcelain. The floating impression of the worktop works thanks to the delicate look of the variable coloured supports.
The special detail of the space in between are the tray-like pull-outs invisibly fitted on top of the base cabinets. They can be pulled out effortlessly and therefore easily filled. Thanks to the optional glass walls, these trays are transformed into elegant display cases where even kitchen utensils can be presented effectively.
+MODO can be extended with the +STAGE stand-alone unit for people who are not primarily looking for the strict arrangement of a fitted kitchen but more for a creative place for their home life.
