Ultra-Prime Residences

27.09.19

Wetherell are launching Mayfair’s most luxurious and exclusive lettings opportunity with the release of the first openly marketed 1,593 sqft two bedroom dressed residence, with interiors by Martin Kemp Design, available to let in Clarges Mayfair, the new ultra-prime address which is Mayfair’s answer to ‘One Hyde Park’.

Arguably the finest residence ever released onto the Mayfair lettings market, Apartment 3.05 in Clarges Mayfair has stunning interiors which are a fusion of contemporary and Art Deco influences with seven Juliet balconies, for every principal room, with features including a spacious entrance hall, dual aspect double-volume reception room with four balconies, a designer kitchen and two VIP bedroom suites.

Clarges Mayfair is said to be home to more billionaires, millionaires and celebrities than any other new apartment development in London. Alongside the rich and famous, the privileged tenant of Apartment 3.05 will have access to the world-class amenities of Clarges Mayfair, offering luxury and service matching a 5-star hotel with facilities including a swimming pool, spa, cinema, conference/entertaining facilities and hotel-style concierge and porter.

Designed by architects Squire & Partners, who have worked on Buckingham Palace, Clarges Mayfair overlooks Green Park and is Mayfair’s answer to ‘One Hyde Park’. Complete with three basement levels, the nine storey Portland stone façade has hand-carved stone columns, floor-to-ceiling windows and bronze balconies and contains 34 residences with interior design by award winning Martin Kemp Designs the design house specialising in ultra-prime residences, private jets and super-yachts with clients including Tom Ford, Roman Abramovich and Rolls Royce.

Clarges Mayfair has the luxury of its own exclusive access boulevard – Ashburton Place – the first new registered postcode address to be designated in Mayfair for 20 years. Ashburton Place is named after the Ashburton family, who were bestowed a Baronet and were prominent Mayfair landowners in the 19th century, owning Bath House in Piccadilly, the long demolished mansion occupying a site close to the new Clarges Mayfair.

Glass doors from the sweeping driveway open onto the Art Deco inspired reception, with 24 hour concierge and sculpture by Yasemen Hussein, and the grand hall, a 60 foot high (18m) atrium which rises from the lower ground floor to the top of the building.

The atrium is surmounted by ‘Amaranthyne’, a spectacular dome lighting sculpture shining down from the ceiling, reminiscent of the architecture of the historic aristocratic houses in Mayfair.

Passenger lifts offer high-speed access to the residences on the upper floors with the lifts and a grand Art Deco style staircase in the atrium leading to the leisure and entertaining amenities on the lower ground and basement floors.

There is a resident’s lounge on the lower ground floor, with the dramatic 60 ft high atrium above. Full height statement doors and ornate Deco inspired corridors give access to the amenity facilities which include The English Spa at Clarges Mayfair which has a fully-equipped fitness suite/gymnasium and the 82 foot (25m) long swimming pool, with cabanas at one end and the hydrotherapy pool/spa at the other. There are four private treatment rooms, a dedicated female sauna and steam room; and a further shared male and female sauna and steam area.

Residents can also hire the business suite/private dining room which can seat up to 30 people or provide a champagne reception/party for guests. There is also a plush cinema room with double height ceiling that is available to book for private viewings. Providing guests with the highest levels of comfort the Art Deco cinema has a large viewing screen, coffered ceiling, panelled walls and bespoke couches with oversize cushions. Clarges Mayfair is complete with an underground parking facility with car lift and automatic turning circle.

Peter Wetherell, Chief Executive of Wetherell says: “Apartment 3.05 in Clarges Mayfair is arguably the finest residence ever released onto the Mayfair lettings market. Clarges Mayfair is Mayfair’s answer to ‘One Hyde Park’, a Portland stone palace overlooking Green Park providing the most outstanding luxury apartments in London, with interiors by Martin Kemp Design, and 5-star hotel-style amenities. Why rent a large suite at The Lanesborough or The Berkeley when you can let this apartment at Clarges Mayfair and have the luxury of your own private home and all the benefits of a luxury hotel.”

With an emerald, charcoal, brass and cream colour palette inspired by the colours of adjacent Green Park, the beautifully dressed interiors of Apartment 3.05 benefit from coffered ceilings, bespoke joinery, full height doors, full height glazing, custom-design statement flooring and Juliet balconies to all principal rooms.

The entrance hall leads into the dual aspect reception room which has four full height glass doors/windows with Juliet balconies, providing space for a spacious living room and an 8-seat dining area. The living area is designed around a large built-in plasma screen surrounded by bespoke shelving, with a crescent shaped couch and coffee table providing a cosy and welcoming entertaining area.

Pocket doors from the reception room lead into the adjacent Martin Kemp Design influenced bespoke Boffi kitchen with dark timber veneer cabinetry, book matched marble worktops, Gaggenau appliances and stone slab flooring with veined marble border.

The master bedroom suite has floor-to-ceiling glazing with a Juliet balcony, with one wall lined with bespoke fitted wardrobes with integral lighting. The master bathroom has book matched marble, separate bathtub and walk-in marble shower and a Deco inspired vanity unit with built in mirror and feature lighting. The guest bedroom suite has an ensuite shower room with veined marble wall finishes. The apartment is complete with a guest powder room and separate utility suite.

Fronting onto Ashburton Place and Piccadilly, Clarges Mayfair overlooks Green Park and Buckingham Palace and is close to The Ritz Hotel, Bond Street and Berkeley Square. The apartments are within walking distance of Hyde Park, Park Lane and Knightsbridge.

Apartment 3.05 at Clarges Mayfair is available to let for £7,500 per week. Viewing is strictly by appointment, contact Wetherell on Tel: +44(0)20 7529 5588 or visit www.wetherell.co.uk
