Legendary singer and songwriter, Sir Rod Stewart has found a buyer for his £4.7 million country house in Essex according to listing records.
An online listing for the property, found in the town of Epping, not far from London, shows that the home has been recently sold.
The "Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?" crooner first listed the mansion, known as The Wood House, in 2016 for £7.5 million before gradually chopping the price to its most recent ask.
The six-bedroom main house was built in the 1800s in Jacobean-style with heavy oak mullions, full-height leaded bay windows and detailed pargetting—patterned plasterwork typically found in the east of England counties of Suffolk and Essex.
It was designed by architects Walter Ernest Tower and Charles Eamer Kempe, a Victorian stained glass designer.
The Wood House features several examples of Kempe’s work, along with other period details like wood panelling, ornamental plasterwork and stone fireplaces, according to the listing with Savills.
Along with its decorative features, the home also has a bar, a games room, a media room and a library.
On its almost 17-acre grounds there is a boating lake with its own jetty, rose gardens, a tennis court and a full-size football pitch, according to the listing.
Property records show that Mr. Stewart, 74, bought the home in 1986 using his full name, Roderick David Stewart, though they did not specify how much he paid.
