White Crow Studios have worked with property developer, Wavensmere Homes for a number of years now and were pleased to have been given the challenge of developing new ‘interactive’ marketing ideas for their forthcoming development, Nightingale Quarter.
Nightingdale Quarter is a landmark development situated on the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary site and will offer a range of one, two and three-bedroom houses and apartments. The infirmary’s iconic pepper pot buildings will be retained for community use, with residents having access to numerous facilities including cafes, gyms and exhibition centres.
White Crow Studios are excited to be developing a fully interactive, ‘real-time’, virtual reality experience to be showcased in one of the former pepper pot buildings, which will be converted into the site’s marketing suite.
As Director of Wavensmere Homes James Dickens explains: “One of the great things about our business is that we have real vision and great attention to detail. It’s really important for us to be able to convey this to our potential purchasers and for them to be able to share in our vision before there is anything to see. With this in mind, we will be using state of the art technology so our buyers can have a ‘virtual reality’ experience like no other. The idea is to convert one of the pepper pots initially into our marketing suite, and have a ‘play space’ available for people to use the property VR. We have also gone a step further and we will have a full real-time experience platform for the entire site. This enables a purchaser to pick their plot, walk to it from, for example, a pepper pot and see what they are overlooking in real time - to top it off they can track the sun’s path they will enjoy throughout the year. Imagine going into a sales centre and being able to think, ‘will I get the sun in my garden when I get back from work on my birthday?’ Well, we have the answer."
The development will also provide large amounts of green space, as well as open air fitness areas, cycle routes and children’s play areas that will all be showcased in the visual experiences created by White Crow.
Director of White Crow Studios Lisa Pedley: “We soon realised that the act of simply moving around a space in virtual reality is not enough, users need to feel ‘engaged’ with the experience. The Nightingale Quarter virtual reality experience will be used as a valuable sales tool in the marketing suite and provide an exciting attraction beyond the launch event.”
As well as the virtual reality experience the team at White Crow Studios are creating a full visual marketing package for the development that will include a number of exterior and interior visualisations, an animated walk through and 360 panoramic tours of the three bedroom homes and apartments.
