H-FARM - where innovation, entrepreneurship and education live and grow together

In 1966, the 'average life span' of a New York Stock Exchange company was thirty-three years. Nowadays, half of them are expected to disappear within ten years from that list. We cannot know which ones, nor can we anticipate what they will have to deal with and what professional figures will be needed.

According to the latest research from the Institute for the Future in Palo Alto, companies will be looking for a variety of professional profiles in the next 20 years, ranging from immediate needs such as gamification designers and remote drone pilots, up through 2032, including the elderly well-being consultant, drone dispatcher, nano medic or vertical farmer, biomimicry designer, as well as climate controller or garbage designer.

For each new profession, appropriate educational courses will be needed to build, refine, and train specific hard and soft skills. This is why H-FARM Campus was created.

The Campus spreads out over 50 hectares overlooking the Venice lagoon, at the intersection with the province of Treviso, ten minutes from Venice Marco Polo airport. The unique environment is designed to balance studying with working, sports, wellness, and entertainment, to be experienced as a ‘bump space’ helping to engage with business executives, school pupils, university students, MBA attendees, and successful entrepreneurs, such as the one who created the second Italian unicorn.

"One of the distinctive features of studying or training at H-FARM is being prepared for challenges that we are not yet able to foresee," emphasises Antonello Barbaro, CEO of H-FARM Education. "It is a different way of studying, of thinking, of working, where technical competencies intersect with soft skills, with lateral thinking and with a critical approach.

This is why H-FARM's education offer is designed to train student-entrepreneurs, capable of dreaming of their own start-up and making it a reality, but also of bringing innovation inside companies, working as if their sector were a micro-business to be taken care of, innovated, launched and supported. During their studies, our students spend six months in a company to directly experiment in the field through projects built in the classroom, 94% graduate 'in progress, 70% with an average grade 4 to 6 points higher than the national trend, up to 92% are employed within 6 months of graduation, a percentage that reaches 99% after 12 months.

The Campus aims to create ideal conditions to prepare students for any of the possible futures they will face. It does this by enabling them to study, but also to live in the facilities, to create radio programmes and podcasts themselves, to attend screenings in the in-house cinema, to study in the library designed by the arch-star Richard Rodgers or to eat in the Philippe Starck and Alajmo-designed bistro.
