Empowering the Next Generation of Disruptors

H-FARM College built a dynamic learning environment, offering its students an all-encompassing academic experience inside and outside the classroom, including many extra-curricular activities, challenges, hackathons and inspirational talks.

Nested between the Dolomites and the Venetian Lagoon, H-FARM College welcomes its students in the H-FARM Campus, an unique environment surrounded by nature, where CEOs, startuppers, professors, innovators and students cross paths on a daily basis.

A dynamic approach to teaching, professors who are also top professionals in different business fields, weekly inspirational talks with internationally renowned managers and CEOs, monthly challenges and hackathons, 2+ internship offers per student are just some of the ingredients of their recipe to empower students to “get ready for any possible future”.

“This is a highly stimulating environment. Here we get to meet top managers and have lunch with them. We are challenged every day by our professors to put into practice everything we learn in class. We have the opportunity to participate in many challenges and projects each semester.”

Filippo Casellato (20) launched his first startup project 2 months after starting his first year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Management, together with two fellow students Umberto Bolzoni and Sebastiano Felicetti.

“During our first weeks here we decided to participate in a global startup challenge, which was part of the extra-curricular offering for the semester. We founded Etrash, a smart bin which aims to improve recycling by recognising the different kinds of waste and sorting it automatically” says Filippo.

Etrash was created during RedBull Basement, a worldwide challenge launched by the renowned food and beverage company. After a couple of months working on the project inside the Campus, Filippo, Umberto and Sebastiano won a prize during the Global Finals and later presented the startup during a “Storming Pizza”: an H-FARM series of events open to the public where startups can pitch their ideas to a panel of experts.

“Recently two engineering students joined the team. Now we are looking into scaling up the project and looking for investors to continue growing Etrash” says Filippo “I believe that the environment we study in has proven very relevant to the development and the success of our project. Every day we could ask our professors for opinions and suggestions, or get a piece of advice directly from the managers, startuppers and entrepreneurs that roam the Campus. Besides, in class we’re used to developing projects as part of our exams: this way project management, team work, pitching, etc. are soft skills we put to practise daily.”

H-FARM College offers Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees (taught in English) and Executive Programmes focussing on business’ fundamentals such as management, economics, finance, marketing from the perspective of the innovation and digital transformation, offering courses about, for example: metaverse, blockchain, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies.

But what really “empowers the next generation of disruptors” in H-FARM College are the environment and the learning experience. All classes are hosted in the H-FARM Campus, a place where students can live and study in an area designed to offer them the best experience possible, side by side with professionals, managers, CEOs.

Lessons are dynamic, mainly using the “learning-by-doing” methodology, involving moments of debate, deep-dives into current topics and project works. But the learning experience doesn’t stop in class. Students are offered a variety of inspirational talks, challenges and projects in collaboration with top companies, bringing students in contact with the world of business from day one. H-FARM College also offers extra-curricular activities, such as clubs, associations, field trips, aimed at supporting students’ personal development, based on five pillars: social impact, knowledge and network, health and wellbeing, culture, social and leisure.
