Diane Keaton’s Pinterest-inspired modern farmhouse in Los Angeles has returned to the market for $26.9 million after taking a price cut.
The late actress, who died in October at 79, first listed the Southern California home for sale in March for $28.9 million. She delisted it just a couple of weeks before her death - at that time, the home was asking $27.5 million.
Keaton - whose prolific career included an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for two Emmys and a Tony - bought the property in 2011 for $4.7 million. By 2015, her brick modern farmhouse was built.
The process of building and designing the home is the subject of Keaton’s book “The House That Pinterest Built.” According to Rizzoli’s description of the book, filmmaker Nancy Meyers encouraged Keaton to use Pinterest for inspiration when she decided to build her own home.

The result was a 9,200-square-foot home on 0.65 acres in the equestrian enclave of Sullivan Canyon. Inside, the home channels the modern farmhouse aesthetic with exposed brick and wood ceiling beams, rustic wood flooring and metal light fixtures. The house features a mix of reclaimed materials, including thousands of hand-selected vintage Chicago bricks.
The home has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms as well as several fireplaces, listing photos show.
There’s also a heated pool, a hot tub and a detached guest house.
