ARIZONA MANSION SECURES $17.5 MILLION IN THE STATES HIGHEST SALE OF ITS KIND

A grand luxury property Arizona mansion - which comes with six bedrooms and a whopping 14 bathrooms - has broken the state record for the most expensive single family home ever sold.

The home, which has been on and off the market since 2011, sold for $17.5 million. It was previously owned by Keith Knight, former chief operating officer and co-founder of Knight Transportation, a Phoenix-based truckload shipping company.

Located in the private gated enclave of Silverleaf in the DC Ranch neighborhood of Scottsdale, has 20,000 square feet of space and it is situated next to Silverleaf’s golf course and McDowell Mountain’s hiking trails. Located on a nearly four-acre plot in the upper portion of the canyon, it has extensive mountain and city views.

The home has a number of recreation facilities, including an infinity-edge pool, a rock-climbing wall, a golf simulator, a basketball court, a volleyball court and a fitness center equipped with a steam room. The house also features five kitchens, both indoor and outdoor, two lifts, a detached guest house with a private driveway, a game room and a home theater.

The house was originally listed at $24.5 million and went through a series of price reductions and brokerage changes. It was most recently listed for $17.995 million in June 2017 by the Mike Domer Group of RE/MAX Excalibur.

The sale of the home has broken the state record, according to market data from Redfin, however, there are two houses currently listed in the nearby town of Paradise Valley at a higher price so this could be short-lived.
