US’ highest selling property ‘CHARTWELL ESTATE’ by Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services California sold Chartwell Estate in Bel Air for a record-breaking$150,000,000. This figure is not only the highest price secured for a "single family dwelling" in Los Angeles, but the highest price home achieved in California.

The buyer is Lachlan Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch and co-chairman of publishing company News Corp.

According to the dream team agents Drew and Susan Gitlin, the property attracted major interest and showings were conducted with some of the wealthiest billionaires across the US and globe.

The property in the Bel Air neighbourhood of Los Angeles was home to billionaire media mogul Jerry Perenchio, one-time Univision chairman and CEO, who died in 2017.

Inspired by 18th Century French Neoclassical design,the 25,000-square-foot mega residence has 11 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms, a 12,000-bottle wine cellar, a 75-foot swimming pool, acres of private gardens and secret underground tunnels.
