The buyer is Lachlan Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch and co-chairman of publishing company News Corp.
According to the dream team agents Drew and Susan Gitlin, the property attracted major interest and showings were conducted with some of the wealthiest billionaires across the US and globe.
The property in the Bel Air neighbourhood of Los Angeles was home to billionaire media mogul Jerry Perenchio, one-time Univision chairman and CEO, who died in 2017.
