News has been released of the proposed FuniFlaine sky tramway which will link Magland in the Arve Valley to Les Carroz and Flaine from 2018. Set to transform the area into a year-round destination, the new mega-lift will be able to carry over 4,800 passengers per hour taking skiers from the valley to resort in only 20 minutes. This year, there is also new project in place to transform the Grand Massif ski domain and better manage the flow of skiers in the valley of Coulouvrier. With the aim to better connect surrounding resorts, it will expand the ski area between Samoens and Morillon adding 20 hectares of ski area taking it from 265 km to 290 kms of ski run with 10 new slopes planned.

Available off-plan, Résidence Alexane is located in the centre of the town close to the Grand Massif Express gondola which takes skiers up to Samoëns 1600.
