The sports facilities include a private park of 9,000 sqm reserved for the exclusive use of residents with 1-kilometre track, two paddle courts and two outdoor pools.  The project is scheduled for completion during the first quarter of 2019.

Prices for the apartments that range from 120 sqm with terraces of 35 sqm to 300 sqm penthouses with terraces of 380 sqm, are from 695,000 euros to 2.95 million euros.

"Most of our clients have been looking for this type of premium property for a long time. It has awakened an interest we had never seen before and we believe that by the end of this summer, all the properties will be completely sold," says Smadar Kahana.

“La Meridiana Suites” represents the first of six projects that Engel & Völkers will broker over the next two years in Marbella to meet the emerging demand for this new lifestyle in the city. All these properties will be constructed by Belgian developer, Estato, and will be developed in collaboration with Engel & Völkers as private residential complexes with all the luxuries of a top resort in a prime location.

Marbella re-emerges as an investment destination

Over the past 10 years Marbella has become synonymous with international luxury tourism. However, in recent months, it has experienced a revival as a real estate investment destination. "We can compare this activity with the period of 2004-2005", says Kahana.

The buyer profile in Marbella is mainly made up of Europeans and clients from Arab countries. The Russians and British are outnumbered by Spanish, German, Swiss, Belgian, Dutch, French and Scandinavian buyers.
