In 2006, Rocksure pioneered the concept of shared ownership of portfolios of magnificent villas and apartments overseas and, since then, more than 200 high net worth individuals have invested well over £20 million with which more than 15 properties have been purchased in Europe and around the world.

Before Rocksure was launched, the only way to own a second home was to buy a whole property. That meant a large capital sum, heavy operating and maintenance expenses, the obligation to return to the same place once or several times each year to obtain any kind of return, an unwelcome time commitment and the anxiety of being a remote landlord.

We thought that there must be a better way of getting to know this beautiful world, introducing children to different cultures, and enjoying different sporting activities, so we created a series of holding companies which allow individuals to share the ownership of the assets and the running costs of a portfolio of up to 6 luxury properties and to enjoy their choice of them for a number of weeks each year.

There are now several different Rocksure Portfolios which are open for investment:

The Crystal Portfolio  which will own up to six 4-5 bedroom luxury villas with private pools and a staff including a Housekeeper/Cook, in Andalucia, Tuscany, the Algarve, Corfu, Provence and the Caribbean island of Antigua for some winter sunshine. The minimum investment of GBP 115,000 entitles you to an average of two weeks’ use each year depending on the season at low, low owners’ prices.

The Capital Portfolio  in which an investment of just €62,500 (approx. GBP 54,000) makes you a co-owner of spacious ( average 2,000 sq. ft.), beautifully-furnished, centrally-located 2-bedroom/ 2-bathroom apartments in Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Vienna, Prague and (next year) Rome and will entitle you to two short breaks each year at very low cost. Rocksure managed, and daily maid service included.

The Manhattan Portfolio  is a slightly different formula which offers a portfolio of 4 two-bedroom/ two-bathroom luxury apartments in a variety of fashionable areas of the city providing opportunities for capital appreciation AND the use of your choice of the properties. The minimum investment is US$167,500 (approx... GBP 136,000), allowing 9-10 nights each year for family, friends and business clients. Rocksure also offers a London Portfolio which is almost a twin but with a minimum investment of just GBP 115,000. Ideal for those living in distant parts of the UK who want to enjoy occasional stays in the city as well as the chance of capital gain. Those investing in both Manhattan and London may use their allocation of nights across each city as they wish.

Each Portfolio has a life of 7 – 10 years, at the end of which all of the properties are sold and the proceeds returned to the Investors who, in the meantime, do not have to lift a finger.
